Description
When I first came to live in New Mexico in 2004 I was charmed by the wooden tree trunks used to support indoor ceilings. They are called Vigas. I decided to cut up some vigas and paint birds on them. I painted a couple of dozen and sold them at craft fairs. This is the one I kept for myself.

Thanks Arie, for your thoughtful comment....drawing on a curving surface and keeping the proportions right,was the tricky part !
